DETAILS: The Final Fantasy Trading Card Game is a card game set in the Final Fantasy video game series. Jessica and other members of the growing Final Fantasy Trading Card Game community will be at Prairie Game Expo to engage in casual games and teach new players about the game. Jessica has decks that new players can borrow to learn the game. Warhammer 40K Top 8 Tournament

The ComicReaders Downtown Warhammer 40K Escalation League comes to a close at Prairie Game Expo, with the Top 8 players battling it out in a tournament.

The tournament is already full with players from the Escalation League. Warhammer 40K is, however, a visually dynamic game and attendees of Prairie Game Expo are encouraged to check out the armies on display in these tabletop battles.

This is a closed event-- the players are already selected from the Escalation League-- but for those of you who are interested in such things, the full tournament details can be found here.

Sign me up for the Sagrada learn to play 12:00 to 2:00, and the Sagrada tournament. I can supply one copy of Sagrada.

GAME: Guild Ball

DURATION: approx. 45 minutes per demo
PLAYERS: 2 players per demo
DETAILS: Guild Ball is a tactical miniatures game of skirmish soccer. Two coaches lead six players from their respective guilds in a race to 12 points--gaining 4 points for scoring a goal, 2 points for taking out a regular player, and 1 point for taking out a mascot (yes, one of the six players on each team is a mascot). During each turn, coaches alternate activating one player at a time. With a small number of models per side, Guild Ball delivers great depth of strategy, balancing ball control, attack, and defense.

Cory from the Regina Guild Ball community will be at Prairie Game Expo to demo the game of Guild Ball. Existing players of Guild Ball are also encouraged to drop in at Prairie Game Expo because there will be a pitch set up for drop-in games.

DETAILS: The Transformers Trading Card Game is a battling card game designed for two players. Players build a team of Transformers character cards and power them up with a customizable deck of battle cards.

Shane from the Transformers Trading Card Game community will be at Prairie Game Expo to demo the game. Existing players of are also encouraged to drop in at Prairie Game Expo and join Shane in teaching and playing the game.
