I'd like to register in both categories for Warhammer40k.  This is a neat idea Chad and I'm looking forward to seeing all the miniatures.

Games Workshop, working alongside ComicReaders Downtown, has provided paint brushes, painting handles, basing kits, and a paint tray for prizes for the Painting Showcase. Approx. retail value of the prizes is $350 CDN. Thank you very much, Games Workshop!

MODEL DISPLAY / JUDGING / PRAIRIE GAME EXPO

All entrants should read the following:

The painting showcase ends on Saturday, May 11, 2019 at Prairie Game Expo, which is a free gaming event hosted by SaskGames and ComicReaders. (More info about Prairie Game Expo can be found at https://forums.saskgames.com/index.php?board=110.0.)

The models will be on display from 1pm to 3pm.

You and your models can come earlier than 1pm but the models won't be on display until the 1pm start time.

Attendees of Prairie Game Expo can vote on their favourite model from 1pm to 3pm. The model that receives the most votes will receive the People's Choice Award.

Judging by the painting showcase judges begins at 2pm and ends no later than 3pm.

Prizes will be awarded shortly after 3pm.

After prizes are awarded, all models should be removed from display and kept with their owner or the person(s) responsible for their safe transport home.

Unclaimed prizes will be at ComicReaders Downtown until 6pm May 20. After that time unclaimed prizes will be null and void.

Entrants of the Painting Showcase will be bring their models to Prairie Game Expo.

If you cannot attend Prairie Game Expo you can have your models brought to Prairie Game Expo by another participant, a friend / family member, etc but you are responsible for making those arrangements, which includes making arrangements for the return of the models to you.

If you are unable to make such alternate arrangements, you can bring your model to ComicReaders Downtown before 9pm on Thursday, May 10 and Chad from ComicReaders will bring it to Prairie Game Expo. Your model will then be taken back to ComicReaders Downtown on or soon after May 13 and you will be contacted to pick up your model. This is the ONLY reason why your model will be at ComicReaders Downtown after Prairie Game Expo. If you or someone else takes your model to Prairie Game Expo you or someone else will be responsible for it after Prairie Game Expo. If Chad takes your model to Prairie Game Expo he will take it back to ComicReaders Downtown after the event.

Feel free to use this Facebook group to make arrangements for your models to be at Prairie Game Expo. Ideally, however, we want as many Showcase participants as possible to attend Prairie Game Expo.

All miniatures in the showcase will be photographed and the photos will be posted on the Painting Showcase Facebook Group and ComicReaders Downtown's Facebook page.

Feel free to ask questions by responding to this post.
