Contact Derek (lifeofturner) for more details!

GAME: Galactic Payload
DESIGNER: Nathan Ottenson
PLAYERS: 1-4
START TIME: 11:00 and 3:00
DURATION: 30 mins. per player

You're playing as a member of an Alien race.  After eons of war and animosity with the other aliens in this galaxy, there is finally the prospect for peace. To symbolize this, you've all agreed to work together to build a monumental 'United Planets' space station in the center of the galaxy. Of course you want your species to have the most powerful place among the council for this new alliance and as such you are trying to gain the most influence/prestige before the space station is complete.  Unfortunately not all of the other alien factions support this new alliance and will stop at nothing to try and end it.

Galactic Payload is a sci-fi pick up and deliver game with dynamic trade conditions that are changing every turn. Players take turns trading their resources with outposts scattered throughout the galaxy and then use these resources to upgrade their own ship, build an expansive trade network and complete projects to further the development of the 'United Planets' space station at the center of the board. But space is a dangerous place, and this mission will have many challenges, whether it's fighting off Pirates, defending the galaxy from hostile aliens, or avoiding the natural perils of interstellar travel.

GAME: Path of the Bushido
DESIGNER: Nathan Ottenson
PLAYERS: 2
START TIME: Anytime
DURATION: 10 mins.

Path of the Bushido is a quick, card drafting fighting game.  Each card has a two separate move sets, a 'left hand' and 'right hand' value.  Players take turns attacking and defending, playing the cards they believe will do the most damage.  If a player loses their left or right hand, they can no longer use that move set listed on the card.  If a player takes damage on both arms, they lose.  If a player gets hit in the body twice, they lose.

GAME: The New World Order
DESIGNER: Ferne Hebig
PLAYERS: 2-4
START TIME: 11:00 and 1:00
DURATION: 90-120 mins.

Years after the great war they call "the apocalypse"  has ended, humans and aliens have been forced to coexist. You are conflicted souls, a ragtag group of unlikely heroes trying to find your place in The New World Order. This entertaining family game will have you testing your Faith in Humanity against the Apocalypse Effect!  Choose alien, human or hybrid characters, select a mission, work to collect resources, increase your character's stats, and purchase the upgraded gear you will need to complete your mission. You will be challenged by events that force you to balance risk with reward to make choices that will allow you to complete your mission in the allotted time. This go around we'll be testing some iterations on character alignment, debt tokens, side quests and how these affect game play.

GAME: Basic Dungeoneering: Run, you fools, run!
DESIGNER: Ferne Hebig
PLAYERS: 1-5
START TIME: 3:00 PM
DURATION: 120-180 mins.

An entry level build and play RPG adventure with variable build dungeons, magic spells and enchantments, awful creatures, and treasure! No experience needed!  This fun family game is suitable for anyone from those new to dungeon crawling adventures to experienced players. Select characters, a player to be the Game Master, and follow the Quick Start Guide to begin your mission! You will be taken into the Cursed Dungeon of Thylanfae on a guided adventure through an area of unstable wild magic to fulfill your mission. Will your band of adventuring heroes survive? The goal is to run a playtest to make sure it really is simple enough game play for inexperienced RPG players while still being a fun game experienced players can take out just to have a bit of fun. A mix of experienced and inexperienced RPG players would be great!

PART 1: 001 Incident at Absalom Station
When a brutal gang war breaks out on a docking bay in Absalom Station, the player characters are recruited by the Starfinder Society to investigate the unexpected bloodshed. Delving into the station's seedy Spike neighborhoods, the heroes confront the gangs and discover that both were paid to start the riot and that the true conflict is between two rival mining companies battling over a new arrival in orbit around the station: a mysteriously deserted ship and the strange asteroid it recovered from the Drift. To head off further violence, the heroes are asked to investigate the ship and discover what happened to its crew, as well as the nature of the asteroid it tows. But what the players find there will set in motion events that could threaten the entirety of the Pact Worlds and change the face of the galaxy forever...

PART 2: 002 Temple of the 12
Now members of the Starfinder Society and piloting their very own ship, the heroes head to the planet Castrovel, home of some of the best universities in the Pact Worlds, to research the clues they found on the mysterious asteroid called the Drift Rock. On Castrovel, the adventurers' findings point them toward an ancient elven temple-city called the Temple of the Twelve, lost deep within Castrovel's teeming wilderness. But in addition to the dangerous flora and fauna of the jungle, the heroes must contend with two other factions—the exiled Corpse Fleet of Eox and the Cult of the Devourer—who are also interested in the asteroid's secrets and have their own plans for the ancient alien technology behind it, if they can find it first!

GAME: Fiasco
TEACHER: Chad R
START TIME: 1:00 PM
DURATION: 2-3 hours
# OF PLAYERS: 3-5

Fiasco is inspired by cinematic tales of small time capers gone disastrously wrong – inspired by films like Blood Simple, Fargo, The Way of the Gun, Burn After Reading, and A Simple Plan. You'll play ordinary people with powerful ambition and poor impulse control. There will be big dreams and flawed execution. It won't go well for them, to put it mildly, and in the end it will probably all go south in a glorious heap of jealousy, murder, and recrimination. Lives and reputations will be lost, painful wisdom will be gained, and if you are really lucky, your guy just might end up back where he started.

FIASCO is an award-winning, GM-less game for 3-5 players, designed to be played in a few hours with six-sided dice and no preparation. During a game you will engineer and play out stupid, disastrous situations, usually at the intersection of greed, fear, and lust.* It's like making your own Coen brothers movie, in about the same amount of time it'd take to watch one.

*It's still the afternoon! We'll decide the playbook together from a pre-printed, family-friendly collection.

GAME: The Quiet Year
TEACHER:  Chad R
START TIME: 4:00 PM
DURATION: 90 minutes
# OF PLAYERS: 1-6

"For a long time, we were at war with The Jackals. But now, we've driven them off, and we have this – a year of relative peace. One quiet year, with which to build our community up and learn once again how to work together. Come Winter, the Frost Shepherds will arrive and we might not survive beyond that. But we don't know about that yet. What we know is that right now, in this moment, there is an opportunity to build something."

The Quiet Year is a map game. You define the struggles of a post-apocalyptic community, and attempt to build something good within their quiet year. Every decision and every action is set against a backdrop of dwindling time and rising concern.

The game is played using a deck of cards – each of the 52 cards corresponds to a week during the quiet year. Each card triggers certain events – bringing bad news, good omens, project delays and sudden changes in luck. At the end of the quiet year, the Frost Shepherds will come, ending the game.

Game: Star Wars - Edge of the Empire
Teacher: Bart Soroka
Start Time: 12:00 PM
Duration: Approximately 3 to 4 hours
Details: In this adventure, you'll play as six of the galaxies seedier occupants. Smugglers, assassins, outlaws, work outside the bounds of Imperial Law to make a place for themselves. You've got a long history, and it might be full of betrayal, debt, regret, or shame. But instead of dragging you down, it propels you through the Galaxy, fleeing or desperate to make up for your past.
You'll find yourself working with three others - it's not your first rodeo with this group, and you've maintained a solid professional working relationship. You're on a blue-milk run - pick up a half dozen crates, don't look inside, don't ask what they are, get them to your ship, drop them off, and pick up enough creds to survive another cycle.
I've got a bad feeling about this...
