Warhammer 40K Kill Team League - Top 8 Tournament

WHEN: Saturday January 28, 2017
WHERE: Prairie Game eXpo
START TIME: 10am
END TIME: 4pm (estimated)
MAXIMUM PLAYERS: 8

Tournament Format

No strength in numbers. No margin for error. Pure, fast-paced combat where tactics matter more than brute strength, and every action matters. A single shot can spell the difference between life and death, and a single decision can decide whether a battle ends in glorious victory or dismal defeat: this is Warhammer 40,000: Kill Team.

This Top 8 Tournament is reserved for the top 8 players of the ComicReaders Downtown 40K Kill Team League. This is the final tournament of the League.

Players will field their Kill Team used in the League, with the following exceptions:
(a) Leader Traits will be rolled before EACH game.
(b) Players may change their Specialists before the beginning of the Tournament. Those Specialists will then be used for each game.

Each player will play 3 games. The Tournament organizer will pair up players before the onset of each Round.

The Missions for the Tournament are as follows:
Round 1: Supply Drop
Round 2: Infiltrate the Camp
Round 3: Secure the High Ground

Tables and terrain will be setup before the onset of the Tournament.

Terrain and tabletops will be provided, but, players should bring their own dice, dice trays, tape measures, rulebooks, objective markers, etc. Players should also bring a print-out of their Kill Team stats for reference.

Players will be provided with reporting sheets for recording wins and losses, but also for scoring Sportsmanship. Players will also vote (secret ballot) on the best painted army at the tournament.

Gift cards will be awarded to:
(a) Winner of the tournament
(b) Best overall (tournament record + sportsmanship)
(c) Best sportsman
