I ran this rare game at PWYF for the first time and had a really enjoyable time playing it.  It is a worker placement / bidding game set in 3rd century China where 3 rival warlords are trying to seize control of the country, based on the book Romance of the Three Kingdoms which many PC & video games have covered in the last 20 years.  Basically each warlord will draft a random starting hand of generals that have different attributes and special powers.  The generals are used to bid on different action spots on the board, the warlord with the highest strength on the spot at the end of the round wins the right to take the action.  There are some area control elements as well, players can fight over borders with their opponents.  Like most games it is won by who has the most VPs, they can be earned in a variety of ways: border control, infrastructure development, domestic harmony and title rank to name a few.  The estimated play time on the box is 135 to 165 min. but I put 4 hours as a rough extra time estimate to teach 2 new first time players (we played it in 4 hrs. at PWYF when it was my 1st game).  The reason I haven't brought this out earlier is that we will need exactly 3 players, I'm hoping there's a few interested people out there willing to try out this gem.
