The upgrade pack makes a world of difference, most notably going from lame cardboard cutouts to plastic mini-figs.

The upgrade packs are pretty hard to find, and are going for ridiculous prices because of that. (More than a new copy of the FF 4th edition) I liked talisman, but I don't know if I like it enough to invest a lot into it. If I get this one and play it enough, I'll just invest in the Fantasy Flight version and find this one a new home.

Yes, I still have the (sealed) Black Industries version of Talisman. I can bring it out to the next CC if that would work best for you Nicole.
