Had a normal win against Devlin's Skaven with my Dwarfs in a Blood and Glory scenario at Tramps.
Highlights include:
ZZZZZAAAAPPPPP!!!!!!: The Warp Lughtning Cannon hit my Longbeards directly with a s8 blast, killing 12 of them! Oh yeah I didn't need a Rune of Grugni at all, nah.
A NO SHOW: My miners decided to look for gold for an extra turn, even though they had a shiny new steam drill to help them get into battle when they were needed. I rolled a 2 twice in a row in turn 2.
RATLINGS OF THE STORM: The Skaven unleashed their Storm Banner in turn two, which resulted in both my war machines not being able to shoot, this was bad, as the enemy Doomwheel rolled right into my Flame Cannon and ran over the crew promptly.
RAT BRAIN BOOM!: Devlin's poor Grey Seer miscast 3 times during the battle, which saw him lose 3 spells and take a good chunk out of his supporting Clanrat regiment. This alone is why I barely held on to win the game as I finished the Clanrats off with simple Thunderer shots.
BUT I'M ON A BONEBREAKER!?!?: After remaining unharmed for most of the game, Devlin's T5 Warlord on Bonebreaker is hit by a cannonball in the face and takes 3 wounds. Said Warlord is later taken down by a Thunderer in CC as he is attempting to route my Thunderers from their garrisoned house. That was the game right there.
Was a great game that could have went either way, Devlin was a great sport and was patient with the rules queries that arose from both of us playing unfamiliar armies.
