This is an opportunity to play and learn about all things Carcassonne. I will be starting a campaign style game where we get 4-6 players to play a game of Carcassonne each month. On the first month, we will play with only the basic game.

That means the base game starts with:
Knights in Cities
Monks in Cloisters
Thieves on Roads
Farmers on Fields

Ideally, we would have the same group of players play for the whole series of games, here is why.

First off, the players will accumulate Carcassonne College Points (CCP) for playing. At the end of the series, whoever has the most CCP is the Scholar of Carcassonne.

Carcassonne College Points awarded as follows:
You get 1 point for playing plus 1 point per player whose score is lower than yours. Additionally, bonus points are awarded as follows:
4 Bonus points for 1st place
2 Bonus points for 2nd place
1 Bonus point for 3rd place

This means that each player will get between 1 and 10 CPP (based on a 6 player game).

Expansion Points (EP)
The winner of each game, gets 3 EP to spend on expansion options for use in future games. The loser of the game gets 1 EP.
Over the course of the series we will keep adding expansion options until we are playing a version of Mega-Carcassonne game. We will limit the number of tiles used for this series to makes sure the games will fit on the table and we can play the game in a reasonable amount of time.

Here are the point values of the options.

ONE POINT
Windrose
Inns
Pig Farms
Cathedrals
Mayor
Builder
Wagon
Abbey
Big Follower
Pig

TWO POINTS
The River & The River II
Ferries
Flier
Mage & Witch
Goldmines
Crop Circles
Bazaar
Festival
Cult Places
Princess
Magic Portals
Tunnels
Bridges
Little Buildings
Phantom

THREE POINTS
Robber
Wheel of Fortune
Siege
The Tower
Dragon & Fairy
Trade Goods
The Plague
Barns
King & Robber Baron
The Count
Messages
Castle

The series will consist of 6-12 games depending on what people would like to see in a series like this. This will be a fun and easy way to learn about the game of Carcassonne and the expansions.
