specilist games?
« on: September 23, 2012, 06:43:41 PM »
im wondering if anyone in the greater regina area is interested in playing in a specilist game league, such as things like mordhiem, bloodbowl (both use fantasy style minis) or battlefleet gothic. games take on average an hour or less to play, with mordhiem games usually lasting no more then 30-45 minutes for a long one.

such a league or group would be extremly casual, with just an ongoing series of games between players whenever and whatnot. personally i have a few mordhiem warbands, a pair of gothic fleets and the bloodbowl starter set. let me know if anyones interested.

Mike - in the past I have run some pretty large leagues of Blood Bowl.  Great fun.

I have also ran and participated in leagues of Necromunda and Mordheim.  I have almost all of the specialist games and bands/armies for each.

Michael
I wonder if you could be anyone would you be yourself? - yup it's mine..

i would be interested in starting and running a bloodbowl league. but would need at least 8 people playing.

a BFG league or group would also be pretty fun

I would like to learn Mordhiem but I don't have the time to play and learn.  Sorry Mike, I am out.  I also want to learn Bloodbowl but again feel I don't have a lot of time for that.

I'm in for a Mordheim ladder league, as long as games can be played at other places than just comic readers.
This could be done with a results form which both players would each need to sign and submit.  i.e. one game two copies of the results signed by both players, submitted independently.

I am happy to volunteer to do the end of month calculations, if the reports can be submitted to the comic readers staff. :excited

I myself have a strong Possessed warband I am very fond of playing.

How many players/moderators would we need to make this happen?
You read this???? why....?

well, i would attempt my hand at running things... for the most part games just need to be coordinated, and then any advancments etc for after games noted and submitted. so the game record sheet would include your opponent, the mission, the result, your injuries/advancments/treasure/purchases etc and then your opponnents injuiries/advancments/etc. that way there will be a double record of such, and hopefully prevent people "editing" rosters between games.  :nono

other then that as this would just be a group of people and not "official" - home games should not be a problem, and we would most likley include a list of "house rules" to tweak some things that are broken... namley a few skaven, undead and a few others. nothing major, but hopefully something to address some inbalances in the rules wich will hopefully make things more playable
