General Discussion / Fantasy Football
August 21, 2011, 09:12:40 PM
I have started up a fantasy football league on NFL.com

we have 7 players already, looking for 5 more (could go more, but 12 is what I was hoping for as a minimum)

Casual fun league, you can set your draft to auto pick by the computer or be on live if you want. The draft is set for Aug 28th (around noonish). Standard fantasy football rules apply.

Anyone interested shoot me a pm or email at cmdearborn at sasktel dot net and I will send the league ID and password.

One of the great board game classics is the satirical Junta in which the players are members of the corrupt government of República de las Bananas struggling for power and money to put in their Swiss bank accounts. "Junta: ¡Viva el Presidente!" continues this idea. Several years have passed since the island was afflicted by unrest and attempted putsches. Since then, the army has lost importance; in its place, private militias do the dirty work. The members of the Junta live a reclusive life in grandiose estates financed by their Swiss bank accounts. The players belong to this Junta and now command their own private militias. And, as before, they rob their opponents unscrupulously and ambush the president as often as they can in order to become president themselves. The players must pocket as much development aid as possible, use this to hire new militias and extend their estates. The player who does this the fastest wins the game.

As commanders of the Cosmic League, the players use their spaceships to transport goods and passengers between the six planets. For this they receive a certain number of Megagalax
(1 Megagalax equals 1,000,000 Galax, the currency unit of the Cosmic League). The players may spend the earned Megagalax to buy technologies to facilitate their tasks. But they must not
forget the main objective of the game because the first player who reaches a total of 70 Megagalax will win the game.

A strategic two player game set in one of the most prolific and best selling universes in science fiction. Discover Perry Rhodan and the Cosmic League for yourself!

It is the far future, and humanity has scattered across the stars. The Solarian Commonwealth is a coalition of a hundred human worlds, and shares the galaxy with a half-dozen other star-spanning empires. It is a time of new horizons and dangerous frontiers.

Last Chance Station is a free city in space, home to members of more than a dozen species. Emissaries from far-flung races have chosen tonight to arrive in town, and everyone is on their toes. Most nights on Last Chance are interesting, but this one promises to be downright crazy.

Players will be able to choose from among inhabitants of Last Chance Station, travellers from within the Commonwealth, or aliens making their first acquaintance with humanity. The system is fast and loose, emphasizing creative solutions and playing to your strengths. Characters will be available in advance or at the door.
