Hi everyone,

Does anyone in Regina or area play Vampire Rivals currently?

If yes, would you be interested in participating in a weekly or bi-weekly play group or league?

Vampire Rivals is an Expandable Card Game by Renegade Game Studio.  This means everyone can buy a base set and/or expansions and has access to the same cards.  The game only has four (or five) expansions so far so it is still in a relative infancy compared to Game of Thrones, Arkham Horror, LOTR, etc.

The game reminds me a lot of the old Jyhad / Vampire the Eternal Struggle CCG (collectible card game) by Richard Garfield.  The designer, Matt Hyra and Dan Blanchett seem to have some good ideas from what I have seen so far.  Their has been a few tweaks to shorten the play time, however, which is a good thing.

If this appeals to you let's start a discussion or you can private message me.

Cheers,
Michael

Hi everyone   issue 3 has been launched and has my mini game, Loonie Bashin' on page 6. Bring out those goblins and let them create a bit of swirling chaos!

Here is a play and learn as you go tutorial.  Please note, the second game has a variant we discarded as it gave slightly too much control to the fanatics.  They are hardly able to stay in control based on the rules from Warhammer Fantasy.  Thanks for watching.

Issue 2 was released a while ago.  Thought I would post an update.

Issue 3 should be released shortly and unless something goes amiss will likely have a free print and play game by me.  It is called Loonie Bashin' and the game is a fun, light romp with goblin fanatics.

Cheers!

I recently picked up the G.I. Joe deckbuilder from Renegade and am loving it.  Decided to post a solo player walk-through in case there are any fans of the comic, toys, or game.  Enjoy.

Episode 39 explores Escape the Dark Castle.  As a quick (30 mins) filler this one is hard to beat.  The artwork is brilliant and a cool story unfolds with each new play.

We recently tried out Shadowrun Crossfire: Prime Runner edition.  If you are a fan of the RPG this one should likely be on your watch list.  A really neat co-op.

We added a new video to our 2 player Let's Play series.   This time we go back to 1983 for Crossbows and Catapults!

Hi everyone,

The first issue of HeroHammer has been launched.  If you have any nostalgia towards the 4th / 5th WFB era in the early to mid 90's this will take you back.

The fanzine is free to download.  I have had the pleasure to introduce a Campaign Rule-set for the magazine.  This campaign is similar to the one I ran in Regina around 2008 - 9.  If you participated in that things may be familiar.

I will also be contributing a bunch more articles as I have time including a goofy / random board game which hopefully will be a free download in the next issue.
