DESCRIPTION
Kaijudo: Rise of the Duel Masters is a collectible card game based on an animated action/adventure TV series of the same name. It is intended for younger players, but is enjoyed by players of all ages at ComicReaders Downtown.

ComicReaders Downtown holds a weekly tournament where players can show off their skills and train to become the best of the best. Players of any age and skill level will be able to practice winning strategies and refine their decks. You'll also have the chance to amp up your deck by earning promo cards.

These are free events. Bring your own deck. Buy a starter deck. Or buy some booster packs and build your own deck. Regardless, you will duel with other players and hone your skills.

Free introduction decks are available for new players (while supplies last).

Kaijudo, brought to you by Hasbro and Wizards of the Coast, offers an array of family-friendly entertainment, including a trading card game, online and mobile games, and an action-packed animated TV series. This trading card game (TCG) brings players into the world of Kaijudo and all of the creatures you'll see on TV. In the trading card game, players duel with each other alongside powerful creatures that each are represented by collectable trading cards.

[Heroclix - Teen Titans Booster Draft]

Heroclix - Teen Titans Booster Draft

DESCRIPTION

We thought we would try out something different for release week of Teen Titans.

The tourney will run with a maximum of eight people. We will take a case of Teen Titans that will eventually be split between all eight people. Cost per player is $25.

Every player will take a booster, open it, take one figure out and then pass the remaining four figures to the player on the right. Everyone will keep doing that until they have five figures. Then everyone will open another booster and do the same thing again, this time passing to the player on their left. In the end, everyone will have ten figures in which to make a 300 point team.

The tournament will last three rounds, with Swiss style pairings. At the end, players will be ranked from 1 to 8. The first place player will get their choice of the two super boosters from the case. Then we will take all the figures from the sixteen boosters plus the remaining super booster and take turns picking them as prizes. First place gets first choice, second gets choice of remaining figures, etc. Once the eighth place player picks a figure, we start from the beginning again.

Pre-registration and pre-payment is required.

DESCRIPTION
This is a day to celebrate the celebrate the medium of comics, but it also a day that can appeal to gamers. Gaming specific information regarding Free Comic Book Day is as follows:
- Receive a Free Comic Book Day exclusive Iron Man Herclix. Limited supply. No holds. Preference given to players in the Heroclix community.
- Concept artist Joel Hustak will be in the store from 10am - 5pm. He has worked on a variety of projects such as 2D game art for both iPod and Facebook games, storyboards for TV commercials, and illustrations for Fantasy Flight Games. Joel will be selling prints of his fantastic sci-fi and fantasy-themed art. His work was recently published by Fantasy Flight Games in the Star Wars LCG and Lord of the Rings LCG.

Sneak Peeks are pre-release events that provide the opportunity to preview an upcoming set at an Official Tournament Store such as ComicReaders Downtown. Sneak Peeks are run as casual events. The primary goal of Sneak Peeks is to encourage all participants to have an enjoyable experience while introducing them to the newest Booster set release. Each player receives 5 packs of Lord of Tachyon Galaxy, which they then use to build a deck and duel with other players participating in the event.

DESCRIPTION
You've survived the 7.6 magnitude earthquake that leveled most of Gotham City. You've fought through the ruins and made it this far. Now you are faced with the most feared villain of them all: The Joker! Alongside his punchline-crazy partner, Harley Quinn, Joker is determined to put his own crazed version of a smile on No Man's Land!

Battle for control of the Dockside Amusement Park with a 600 pt Constructed force using only game elements from the following sets:
-Batman
-Streets of Gotham
-No Man's Land
-Gotham City Strategy Game

Allowable items
Resources: Utility Belt, Penguin, Batcave
Special Objects: Mr. Freeze's Gun, Bat Signal, any Utility Belt object used as a relic
ATAs: all

Prizes
Participation: Batman's Cowl and Handcuffs objects. These will be given out at the beginning of the event. You may include these in your team build for this event.

Gang Prize: The Penguin LE figure/resource will be awarded to the top 3 point scorers for the Batman Gang at the end of the event.

Fellowship: The Joker and Harley Quinn LE duo figure will be awarded in a random draw. Each prior No Man's Land event that you have attended at ComicReaders Downtown gains you one entry into this draw. Participants who have otherwise won a Joker/Harley figure will not be included in the draw.

2nd Place: The Joker and Harley Quinn LE duo figure will be awarded based on Win/Loss record and then total event victory points.

Grand Prize: The winner of the event (first person to be undefeated in all matches) will be awarded both the Batcave Resource and the Joker and Harley Quinn LE duo figure. To be eligible to win the Batcave you must have accumulated 12 event points throughout the 6 months of No Man's Land. Points earned at this event will count but all 12 points can not be earned at this event to be eligible.

Other prizes and giveaways will take place as the event is taking place and afterwards.

Sunday Limited Magic *Magic: The Gathering*

DESCRIPTION
Sunday is Limited day at ComicReaders Downtown.  We alternate back and forth from week to week playing Draft and Sealed Deck, usually with the most recent set.  Limited is a great way to learn to play competitive Magic without needing to have a large collection, and a great way to acquire new cards.
