ADD-ONS

Deluxe playmat
691mm x 1025mm
Cost: $47.99 + tax
This playmat is a Kickstarter exclusive. It will not be available in retail after the Kickstarter campaign.

Book of the Dead Big Expansion
Cost: $30.99 + tax
The Book of the Dead Big Expansion contains 16 tiles in a new color: green / emerald.
It integrates a little of the myth of Cthulhu in Egyptian mythology and offers a new way of playing with a place: The city of R'lyeh.

In practice, a player who wants to play and take advantage of the powers of the emerald tiles will have to corrupt his troops by sending them to R'lyeh, thus making them a little more complicated to put into play on the board.
He will also have to sacrifice part of his sanity to go crazy. Madness will give him more power but will make him lose victory points.

Cthulhu and Nyarlathotep are deities, not creatures. The figurines are larger (55-60mm) and in game the deities are managed by rules a little different from the creatures in the Kemet base box.

It is an extension for seasoned players at Kemet, powerful but complicated to master.

Cthulhu & Nyarlathotep Small Expansion
Cost: $15.99 + tax
Contains the Cthulhu and Nyarlathotep miniatures and 2 tiles.
This small expansion is a Kickstarter exclusive. It will not be available in retail after the Kickstarter campaign.

KEMET Sleeves
Cost: $15.99 + tax
These sleeves are a Kickstarter exclusive. These will not be available for sale in retail after the Kickstarter campaign.

Everything Else / Re: So, how's everyone doing?
« on: June 17, 2020, 10:12:41 AM »
ComicReaders Downtown is still here. We were closed for a while, doing curb-side only. We were allowed to open to the general public again as of May 19, with restrictions. Our hours are reduced, our staff is reduced, but we're still doing what we do.

On the personal front, my kids have been doing some schoolwork at home, Shelley has been working from home, and when I'm at home I drink tea, watch movies with the family, and play Sims 4 on the PS4. There is something comforting about controlling every aspect of my Sims' lives in these uncertain times.

Cheers!

The Saskatchewan Pathfinder Society and Saskatchewan Starfinder Society have suspended all Pathfinder and Starfinder events at ComicReaders Downtown for the foreseeable future.

The groups are exploring options of online Pathfinder and Starfinder sessions.

Players are directed to go to https://warhorn.net/events/saskatchewan-pfs-sfs for ongoing updates.

QUESTIONS  / ANSWERS

Q: Do we bring our entries to Prairie Game Expo?
A: Yes, participants will bring or arrange to have their entries at the Saturday, May 16, 2020Prairie Game Expo during the time for judging, which is 1pm to 3pm. Information about Prairie Game Expo can be found at the Prairie Game Expo forum on SaskGames. Participants are encouraged to post progress reports and pictures on the ComicReaders Downtown Painting Showcase Facebook Group.

Q: Is 'model' referring to a single base? Are 'dual' scenes allowed so long as the whole thing takes place on a single base?
A: "Model" is a single model on a single base. While a "scene" created with two or more models sounds super cool it is not the focus for this painting showcase. Something along those lines is something we could consider for a future painting showcase. Now in the case of a "model" like, for example, a Plague Marine that might have a little Nurgling with it on the base as per the kit it comes in--that is allowed.

Q: Do I have to declare the category / categories into which I am entering?
A: Yes, part of the registration process is to declare the categories / category into which you are entering. You do not have to tell us the models(s) being entered, though hobbyists are encouraged to post progress pictures on the ComicReaders Downtown Painting Showcase Group. Registration closes at the end of the day April 30.

Q: Do I have to declare the model(s) I am entering?
A: You do not have to tell us the models(s) being entered, though hobbyists are encouraged to post progress pictures on the ComicReaders Downtown Painting Showcase Group. The requirements for registration are your name and the category / categories being entered. Registration closes at the end of the day April 30.

Q: Do my models have to be finished and submitted before the deadline of April 30?
A: No. April 30 is the registration deadline. That is, the deadline for submitting your name and the categories into which you are entering. Your model(s) need to be finished in time for the May 16, 2020 Prairie Game Expo.
