In what dimension did you hear that gaming was on Thursdays??????

Read the Info , its Wednesday evenings. Whoever is saying otherwise is incorrect.

TrentB:
Your response carried a rude tone and does not welcome inquiry. That is not the attitude we wish this website to portray. As a venue / event owner we urge you to be more welcoming and friendly in your future interactions.

Respectfully,
SaskGamesAdmin

Archive of About This Site / ANNOUNCEMENT: SaskGames Public Venue Cleanup
« on: February 20, 2014, 11:50:59 AM »
This is just a heads up that SaskGames will be archiving some of the public venues on the site due to inactivity.

With the growth in membership and the success of the SaskGames News Bulletin, it is important that visitors to the site see current and relevant information. To that end, public venues that do not get used or updated regularly will be archived. Here is a copy of an email sent last week to various venue owners:
Hello,

This message is getting emailed to anyone responsible for running a public venue on the SaskGames website. It is time for a gentle prodding and some house cleaning. We have had a great year growing the hobby and playing games. With the latest membership growth numbers and the newsletter, it is important that we keep the site clean and relevant. We are seeing more and more traffic to the site and do not want visitors to have to wade through sections of the site that are not used.

We also understand and respect that some groups are not in the habit of posting events. Every gaming group needs to evaluate the benefit of using the site for their own needs. It is our hope that all groups would see the value and use the site, but those are individual decisions. If there are any questions or suggestions, please respond to this email with those items.

Additionally, the site is, and will continue to be free for use. The website costs have been paid in full up to 2018.

Here are list of venues and their status on the site:
Public – ComicReaders – Downtown Regina (ACTIVE)
Public – ComicReaders – South Regina (INACTIVE)
Public – Dragon’s Den – Saskatoon (ACTIVE)
Public – Tramps – Regina (INACTIVE)
Public – Strategy Saturday – Regina (ACTIVE)
Public – Regina GO Club – Regina (INACTIVE)
Public – Cathedral Neighbourhood Centre – Regina (INACTIVE)
Public – FRAG Games Days – Regina (INACTIVE)
Public – ChewsDay Challenge – Regina (ACTIVE)
Public – Prairie Game eXpo – Regina (ACTIVE)
Public – Regina Public Library – Regina (INACTIVE)
Public – Wok Box – Regina (ACTIVE)
Public – ALBERTA Events (ACTIVE)
Public – MANITOBA Events (ACTIVE)
Public – Miscellaneous Events (ACTIVE)

The Venues that are inactive will be archived soon (Within the next few weeks). That is to keep the site focused and clean. If your venue has been inactive and you wish to start using it, please contact me immediately so we can discuss your plans and intentions for the future. We would like to have you stick around, but only if there is a commitment to keep content current and relevant.

Additionally, a couple of things that help visitors to the site is to use some conventions for your venue postings. For instance:
(1)    Move past events into the archive area of your venue. It is helpful for people looking at what events you have if they are only current and future events.
(2)    Give a meaningful subject line to your events indicating: WHAT – WHERE – WHEN. For instance:
ChewsDay Challenge - North Albert Boston Pizza - March 11, 2014 (18:00)
(3)    When linking events to the calendar, use the following convention: WHERE: WHAT. For instance:
Dragons Den: Board Game Night
(4)    Also, if you have a standard weekly event that does not change from week to week, we can assist you with making a monthly posting that covers all of the events in that month with links to the calendar multiple times. That will save you some admin work in making your postings.

SaskGames is going to continue with the marketing and growth strategy that has given us success to this point. We would like you to be a part of the success. We want to support all stores, clubs, and groups equally. The offer is on the table have SaskGames assist you in using the site, but it does require some commitment and effort on your behalf.

Contact us with any questions or concerns you may have.

Regards,

Admin Team

If you want to split these into separate events, (separate postings), we could link them to the calendar.

SaskGames extends a warm welcome to our gaming friends in
Alberta & Manitoba.

We are seeing a steady growth in members and gaming events. It is truly a great time to be involved in this hobby. With all of the gaming events occurring in our region, we wanted to extend an invitation to our gaming friends in Alberta and Manitoba to share in the growth and success of SaskGames.

We encourage folks in Alberta to post their events in the ALBERTA Section.

We encourage folks in Manitoba to post their events in the MANITOBA Section.

Having a consolidated calendar of events will help us achieve two important objectives:
(1) More people will be aware of gaming events and opportunities, even if that means a short road trip to get in some awesome gaming goodness.  :thumb-up
(2) By having a events on a central calendar, event organizers can try to minimize conflict in event schedules so we are not competing for the same group of attendees. :thumb-up

...All armies have been called home in light of the chancellors weakened mental state.

Even the Russian armies are answering this call. :D  :excited

I believe we need to discuss the matter of charities that we will all be donating to for treaty violations. I highly recommend "Play with Your Food" which will be raising money for Souls Harbour Rescue Mission.
