Game Discussion / question: CARCASSONNE starter tile
« on: November 11, 2018, 10:50:02 AM »
Finding* the starter tile for Carcassonne can be a bit tricky - it's 'slightly' darker, but otherwise identical.
(*either when you are starting a game - assuming you didn't set it aside in a special place - or cleaning up after a game.)

Here's my thought:
Would it not make sense to mark the starter tile so it's a much more obvious - I was thinking of making a big red X on the back with marker.

Any reason why this might not be a good idea?  (Yes, I realize this is 'damaging' the piece, so that's 'bad'.)
Will having the big red X on the back make that tile useless for something else in the future?

Archive of Marketplace Items / WANTED: pair of orange d6 dice
« on: June 29, 2018, 03:18:09 PM »
I'm putting together some parts for a game and the last bits I need are a pair of coloured dice:
  • orange
  • standard size (16mm) preferably
  • pips preferred instead of numerals
I've checked the loose dice bins at Comic Readers - no luck.  I suppose I could order a set, but I only need 2 and with shipping, etc. that could be rather pricey.

I'm hoping that there may be some game players with large bags of dice out there that have a couple of orange ones  (or even a single) that they wouldn't mind selling off.

(I'm in Regina)
