Hi Everyone!

The exec has made the decision to resume Chewsday Challenge after Labour Day.

I know some of you will be disappointed, while others will be more comfortable with a longer buffer after restrictions have been lifted, but in the end we felt more confident with a September return.  We'll look to have a new schedule up by mid-August  and will let everyone know if we will have any changes to our protocols for our September start.

In the meantime, MikeMcC will be getting in touch with our ambassadors, so if you are a current ambassador please watch the staff section, or if you're interested in becoming an ambassador please reach out to Mike.

Thanks for your patience and enjoy your summer!

Paula Deming hosts an excellent youtube channel for comedy and boardgames. Do you recognize yourself in any of these techniques?  :)

I had to laugh at all of the Robinson Crusoe segments - people who have played can definitely relate.

COVID-19 UPDATE: We continue to monitor the rules for social gatherings and the rules in place for restaurants, mixed gatherings and recommendations for physical distancing. Games with shared components and gamers from many households who move from table to table and sit in close proximity to each other are major factors in our event. This means that an event such as Chewsday Challenge is difficult to fit into the recommended physical distancing models that we would need operate under to ensure the safety of our membership.

For now, Chewsday Challenge will remain SUSPENDED and we will update again once we have plans to re-establish our event. Please be patient as we wait out these difficult times and continue to do our part to reduce community spread. We will be back as soon as it is safe for us to gather again. We miss all of you and hope that everyone stays safe and healthy at this time.

Please feel free to use the forums to chat with the community about the sorts of things you are doing to keep yourself occupied or to share any online gaming activities you're finding to help fill the time - especially if you're looking for players!

Thank you!

With New Year's Eve and Chewsday Challenge falling on the same night this year, we have spoken to Boston Pizza about hosting our event on Monday, Dec 30, 2019. We are confirmed for this date but for staffing purposes, Boston Pizza is interested in a rough head-count.

We are just looking to get a general idea of attendance with the temporary switch to Monday night, so please vote for the most likely scenario. You can change your vote up until the poll closes on Dec 16th and then we'll pass the number along to Boston Pizza.

We hope to see you there for our last Chewsday Challenge of 2019!

Game Discussion / Creating a SaskGames Top 10
« on: August 29, 2019, 08:40:13 AM »

Hi everyone!  Over on Facebook we're creating a SaskGames Top 10. We'd love to add a lot more responses to our tally so head over to our SaskGames Facebook Page and let us know what your Top 10 boardgames are right now.

If you're not a Facebook user, you can put your list on this thread.

To determine the SaskGames Top 10 we'll tally all the points from all the games submitted by our users. To keep it simple your #1 game will get 10 points, #2 gets 9 and so on. Come play along!

The Colorettos Team ( Rosemarie Opitz, Jeremy Guebert, Deborah Jeanne and Nikki Jacquin) is hosting another fun filled fundraiser in support of Street Culture Project  as a part of the larger fundraising project Play With Your Food. We hope you will join us in support of this great cause! Help others, have a good time with friends and family and learn a bit about painting with acrylics. It's all about the process not the finished product and the process can't get much better than this - helping others :)

This class includes, step by step instruction by Nikki Jacquin, all your materials and refreshments.
