The PWYF committee is looking for some volunteers to help set up for the event (move tables and chairs around, put up posters, organize silent auction items, etc.)
We will be meeting at the Event Location (Corner of Dewdney and Athol) at 4:30 on Friday October 20th.

For the fifth consecutive year, SaskGames is partnering with Souls Harbour Rescue Mission to host “Play with Your Food”, a charity event in which participants fundraise for an entire year before gathering for a 24-hour-long board game-a-thon in the fall.
The Play with Your Food event will be held this year on October 21-22 at the Dean Smith Youth Centre
(located at the corner of Athol and Dewdney). In 2016, this event included 108 participants who fundraised over $41,000, which went directly to supporting the various programs offered to vulnerable members of our community by the Mission: The Women’s Emergency Shelter consists of four rooms with a total of twelve emergency beds available for women and their children. The Men’s Emergency Shelter has accommodations for twelve individuals. Guests at both locations have access to shower, laundry facility, kitchen area, a warm meal and staff to talk to.
Women’s Addiction Program (Shayil Home) is a year-long residency-based program where women and their children come to a safe environment to overcome addictions with the support of staff and alongside women on similar journeys. In addition, graduates of the Women’s Addictions Program have the ability to move on to our Proverbs 31 Program, which is a second-year discipleship, internship, post-secondary, and/or job training component designed to further the development of our graduates.
Soup Kitchen is open to anyone in need of a meal. More than 200 filling and nutritious supper meals are provided each week day for a cost of $3.43 per meal.
Emergency Shelter has accommodations for twelve men. Guests have access to shower, laundry facility, kitchen area, a warm meal and staff to talk to.
Little Souls Daycare is a licensed and subsidized childcare facility with 60 spaces located in North Central Regina. Their mission is to provide a caring, warm, and safe environment for each child from infant to school age to play, explore, and learn.
Zeike’s Place Youth Centre consists of a full-sized gymnasium, a large games room, and a full kitchen and dining hall. It is currently utilized five times a week to reach out to high-risk youth in the community.
Harbour House is an apartment complex that has 25 bachelor suites and five 1-bedroom suites for hard-to-house individuals that has operated since 2008
Souls Harbour Rescue Mission receives no ongoing funding from any level of government to provide services to those in need in the community. Events like Play with Your Food are integral to the success of their life-changing programs, and these events would not be possible without partnership with local businesses and
organizations like these.

Hi Everyone!
As fundraising for my PWYF team, I am selling tickets to a special 1.5-2 hour self protection work shop on September 24th (1:00 pm) at Krav Maga Regina. This work shop is open to all fitness levels and will be run by certified Krav Maga instructors (I will also be there to assist the instructor). Krav Maga is one of the most effective self defense systems in the world but also one of the most fun and unique activities you’ll ever do. If you’ve ever been curious about learning self defense but have never tried it – I highly recommend this workshop. Participants will learn simple and effective techniques in a welcoming and empowering environment. There are only 20 spots available. Workshop fee is $20.
The first 20 people to pay their fee will get the spots. Everyone is welcome! Please share with any family or friends who might be interested!
