Game Discussion / Re: What game is hitting your table?

August, I last posted in August?

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles – Base Set, 20 plays, we are working our way through this campaign now and just started the third box

Commands & Colors: Ancients, 7 plays only, both jerks have jobs now, so it is even harder to play now.

Via Nebula, 5 plays, good game, has a bit of a Brass feel to it but is much more accessible.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Rise of the Runelords – Base Set, 4 plays, we are playing through this using the special characters from the class decks.

7 Wonders, 2 plays, 46 plays in my life, it is ok, but no longer is as big a draw for me.

Food Chain Magnate, 2 plays, still a really good game, just hard to get to the table.

The Grizzled, 2 plays, interesting co-op

Power Grid: The Card Game, 2 plays, like, yesterday. I prefer Power Grid still as I prefer the route building mechanism as well.

Railways of the World, 2 plays, table size means it is not really portable.

Sentinels of the Multiverse, 2 plays, because we are playing Pathfinder...

Andean Abyss, 1 play, I like COIN games still, just tough to play on a Wednesday night

Chaos in the Old World,  1 play, I still love this game. The theme ties in so well with the game, can be off putting to some

Conquest of Paradise, 1 play, neat Civ building game.

The Last of the Independents, 1 play, run a car company, not great but a good one hour game

Pampas Railroads, 1 play, another Wallace train game

Power Grid, 1 play, still great

Power Grid deluxe: Europe/North America, 1 play, very nice looking, some slight rules changes but still good

Primordial Soup, 1 play, I like this game but have not played it since 2007.

Star Realms, 1 play, neat game, but dunno if I will play it too often.

Thunder Alley, 1 play, a race game I just don't play often enough.

Have you looked into Dragon's Den on Wednesday night? The Pathfinder Society meets there on Sundays as well.

Also, check KingMe on Wednesday nights

After a slight delay, I am back with an assortment of games:

Commands & Colors: Ancients, I am still playing this but they both got jobs (industrious jerks!), so 9 plays since June 28th
Memoir '44, I hosted a C&C day at my place and taught this, which got me 5 plays.
Animals on Board, a pretty light game I played at Amigos one Monday night, some planning but nothing really exciting but 4 plays that one night
Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles – Base Set, we finished Rise of the Runelords, so one guy picked this up, we have been tied up so only 4 plays in one night
Food Chain Magnate, oh my! 2 plays of this outstanding game, so much so that it is being run at ToonCon.
Scythe, a good solid game that mixes a ton of options, 2 plays
Simurgh, worker placement game that seems odd, I have not figured out my issue with it, besides it being WP, 2 plays
Angola, too bad this is so long, I would be willing to play this again! 1 play.
Formula D, I taught it one night at my place, 1 play
Pax Porfiriana, great game, another experience game by Eklund,    1 play
Vegas Showdown, 11 years on, and it remains a really good game, currently the most popular game for ToonCon, 1 play

Since the 25th, I have played 13 games, a total of 30 times.

I am playing Commands & Colors: Ancients with some friends now on Thursday afternoons as we are all unemployed. so I have 8 plays of this in the last month. I love this game.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Rise of the Runelords – Base Set, with 4 plays, is now complete and we are off to:

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Skull & Shackles – Base Set, which we just started this month with 4 plays.

Sentinels of the Multiverse, 3 plays for "ole reliable"

7 Wonders, 2 more plays at a Meetup

Bohnanza, with 2 plays, this has become the "hot game" to close out a night at Amigos.

Nations 2 brutal plays, one with Dynasties and one without

Age of Industry, 1 more play, they let me win to stop my whining.

Food Chain Magnate, 1 play as introductory, but there is so much going on it should be a crime.

Mombasa, 1 play, need to play it some more so I can understand it better.

Small World, 1 play, 5 player, the 10 year old crushed us.

Steampunk Rally, 1 play as the feature game at Amigos

This was the first time we played with that card...

I have played twice more, and BOTH times that card came out, so I over ruled it and got a new one

In the last 4 weeks I have played 8 games, a total of 21 times. They are, as always, in numerical order. I am maintaining a higher rate of games played this year than last, having played 105 games this year, while at this time last year I was at 71. Some of this increase is due to me now playing C&C: Ancients more often.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Rise of the Runelords – Base Set, 9 plays, and we are now solidly into the final expansion. I am not sure what I will do when it is done, sell it or restart with new characters.

Commands & Colors: Ancients, 5 plays, I started teaching it to a couple of friends, so now we play once a week
Sentinels of the Multiverse, only 2 plays and they were both on Monday as a break from Age of Industry

7 Wonders, 1 play, Brenda and I taught this to a meetup group.

Age of Industry, 1 play, sorta Brass, but simpler. I failed to win...

Nations, 1 play, the winner of AoI picked this and the game went three turns due to Imperium Rex being flipped for the event card.

Peloponnes Card Game, 1 play, at Amigos as the feature game.

Viticulture, 1 play at Amigos as the feature game.

The Great Zimbabwe, 1 play when it was the feature game at Amigos.

Awesome feature game!  Was there more than one game of it on the go?

Nope, I own the only one, I suspect there will be a couple of purchases later in the year when it is republished though.

In the last 4 weeks I have played 7 games, a total of 14 times. They are, as always, in numerical order. I am maintaining a higher rate of games played this year than last, having played 84 games this year, while at this time last year I was at 61. I assume I will play something at International TableTop Day as well this weekend.

Pathfinder Adventure Card Game: Rise of the Runelords – Base Set, with 4 plays we are slowly, bringing the 5th expansion to a close, three of these games were losses as we lost to the second last expansion 4 times in a row. This game still chugs along and is ok for a relaxing night with friends.

The Last of the Independents, 3 plays from this area control game. It is light and interesting.

Peloponnes has 3 plays, because I am a sucker for Civ building games I recently purchased this and it's expansions, and the card game. The game plays fast, as we played 2 in less than 2 hours. It has a unique bidding style which makes the planning more difficult.

7 Wonders, 1 play, you should all know this game.

Dominion, 1 play at Amigos as I was teaching it.

The Great Zimbabwe, 1 play when it was the feature game at Amigos.

Sentinels of the Multiverse, 1 play. I still really enjoy this game, and it shows, as this was my 101st play.
