Hi, there are  three kinds of boards. The first ones are small foam core baords that were built as platforms so in skirmish/mordheim games there are different levels of elevation. The 4x4 table was built by someone else and is really good. It is 3/4 inch plywodd at least and flocked and sprayed. Teh larger 6x4 board is mdf board. One side is painted by moi. The other side is not painted.

Hi- We are moving and I have lots of stuff- some nerdy and some not to get rid of.
Nothing will remain at the end.

Childrens clothes, toys, books and dvd's. Furniture, carpet, tiles, kitchen table and chairs, garden tools, desk, sports equipment, camping equipment, tools, etc
Nerdy stuff like board games, hobby and gaming toys and magazines. Tons of white dwarf, wargames illustrated and old warhammer books. A 4 x4 terrain board. A 4x6 mdf board. Assorted other terrain pieces. Do you guys at Comic Readers want the terrain boards?

Seems like a horrific decision for the court to make. The more nerds the better.  :neener

It can be any sort of game- 1000 to 10000 points.

That was a fun weekend. Super thanks to both crews- the mega battle seven and the14 at the tourney. For me that was nine and seven hours of warhammer.

The mega battle- was fun. Learned a few thigns for doing them again. Need to give more power and less dispell dice for greater effect.
Have armies presign up and not just the players so we can fine tune lists and such before the day.
Overall it was fun .

The saturday was super as well. Three great games -I played Carson and his orcs. Barclay and his demons and Tom and his Bretts.  I lost to Barclay but that is okay. It is always fun playing three good guys who are out there for their own and their opponents fun.
It was cool seeing that many players out all at once. Lots of nice armies too and not a single list I would say was disgusting or designed to exploit any rules. Except for my army- I had 15 dwarf cannons.
Great job Don.

Hi I played Maeson yesterday. My lizards ended up winning. Neither of us was fully painted.
My saving factors were  my leadership and my saurus hero. He helped kill or chase off three units and survived a crap load of magic and missile fire directed at him. My next best element was the two turns where the skaven guns did nothing except misfire or blow up. :D
Our shooting overall was pretty dismal.
I have to re-learn how to play the lizards after playing  dwarfs and empire for years.

Thanks Maeson.

Hi, I'm organizing the Frag Con mega battle for the friday night of that event.
I've played in a  few multiplayer battles but wanted to get some feedback and ideas from each of you.
I think we may have up to four table linked with armies from either side comig in from multiple sides/flanks. The tables won't necesarily be in a big long line.

1. I want to avoid people ony playing the person directly across from them. If I can stagger deploymet zones so that people are encouraged to be across from a few potential opponents I'll do that. Also- having multiple objectives that effect the game in play and the final victory conditions so people can go for less obvious ways of winnign not just crushing th edude across from them.

2. People rushing off ahead of their teammates out of turn sequence.  Having each side selct one player to be their general- they keep them all on the same phase, control any special dice, ghave th efinal say in disputes ont ehir side. And keep their team all on the same phase.

3. Over or under powerd magic phases.- Having 3d6 power dice to share amongst each "table" of casters. 2d6 for dispells. Having spells with unlimited range actually have a range of 60" so you cant cast something from 5 metress away.
4. People feeling that if they come late they cant play.- having reinforcement or rescuer entry points along the sides so people can enter after the gaem has started.
5. People with different size armies not knowing if they take part. If there is an imbalance in evil  vs good for every 500 points of difference the smaller side gets a reroll of any dice once pergame.
6. New people with no armeis not beig able to take part. Having a number of players being receptive to allowing a new recruit to take over command of a unit or two of their army. Having the quick reference play sheet available for everyone.

Thoughts on these or other things which willlead to a successful game?

Thanks,
Dean

ola, anyone able to play on Sunday? My house -2500 points. I'm going to use my old lizardmen to see how they go.
I live in nw Regina. 58 litzenberegr cres.
how about 12:30?

Barcley- you can play what ever. I might slowly get back into lizzies, but my quality of painting and slowness of getting stuff togetheer shouldn't stop you from doing them.

14
I'm trying to figure out what to play. I've got an old 6th edition lizardmand army I can rejuvenate. A 7th edition skaven to play with or a dark elf one.
Any one know if any of those are getting new books or models in the next year?

Thanks for pulling the structure together Rob.

I'm coming tomorrow with an all shooting and flying dwarf army.
You should all plan to deal with that.
Or maybe  I'm just so tricky :excited

I hope we have an even number. Maybe Frank should bring his dudes.
We've got: Don, Mike, Maeson, Chris, Lareina,  Rob, Dean, Barclay, Justin, Neil ....????
10 players?
See you tomorrow. In order to dream warhammmer I might have to convince my 9 year old to watch the two towers with me.
