DETAILS: A New Era of ExplorationThe Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild is a worldwide science fantasy campaign that puts you in the role of an agent of the Starfinder Society. The gods have mysteriously spirited Golarion away to an unknown location and refuse to answer questions about it. In its place, the cultures of that world have evolved and spread throughout the solar system, especially to a vast space platform called Absalom Station. But there are horrors out there in the darkness...

Year of Scoured StarsThe Starfinder Society is on the brink of ruin, having had to resort of mercenaries to maintain their hold on claimed planetoids, stellar regions, and archeological sites. After training to join a new cadre of Starfinders, it is up to you as a member of the Starfinder Society to help restore the organization. The Starfinder Society, with memories of the Scoured Stars incident still fresh, embarks on the quest to rebuild and discover the truth of what happened in the inaugural season: Year of Scoured Stars!

It's probably best to ensure your spot by booking early (
it also helps us plan if we know proper numbers), but
yes, you can sign up for the tournament at any time - even on the day of the PGX - if there are openings.

Dungeons & Dragons 5th Edition will also be at Prairie Game Expo! Berny is a new DM and he is looking to try out D&D with other hobbyists new to the system. (Experienced players are certainly welcome, too, but keep in mind these sessions are designed with new players in mind.)
Start time: 1pm
Duration: 1.5 - 2 hrs
How many players: 2-4
What to bring: good attitude, rest will be provided, but you are welcome to bring if you have: dice, pen & paper, small miniature character as your avatar
Description: First-time DM looking for experience with other first time players, or veterans who don't mind playing with those who are new.
This is a 1st level, short Dungeons & Dragons adventure where we will have fun, kill stuff, learn a bit about D&D together, and hopefully make friends. Take on the role of a longsword-wielding folk hero to fight evil, or a powerful sorceress who can shoot ice from her fingertips, or help out your allies with cosmic healing as a dwarven cleric!
No experience required. Ages 16+ unless otherwise permitted. You will not be required or expected to act out or use a dwarven voice, but you are most welcome to, as this is a role-playing game.
Using pre-made classic characters we should be able to jump into the game fairly quickly after a bit of tutorial of really basic, simple 5th edition rules. Note that this is not a serious game where every rule will be abided by. The goal is to have fun and learn how to DM/play D&D.
