Saskatchewan has a growing community of board game and role playing game designers. PGX is helping support local gamers showcase their own designs.

Listed below, you will find the list of games scheduled to be played at Prairie Game Expo. No sign up to play is necessary. Drop in and play test a local game!

We will meet at PGX at 1:00 pm to meet one another, show off some of our prototypes, and set some of our goals for meeting. Anyone interested in game design is welcome to join in, and there is no commitment in participating. Contact Derek (lifeofturner) for more details!

GAME: Merchant's Dilemma
TEACHER: Stephen "Stardust" Kenny
START TIMES: 2:15 and 4:00
DURATION: 30-60 minutes (depending on the number of players)

Welcome to Merchant's Dilemma, a political game of cooperation and rivalry for 3-6 players.

In Merchant's Dilemma, you are playing as a merchant who must negotiate with your fellow players to gain gold. Will you cooperate and both profit, or will you compete to try and take the riches for yourself? The choice is up to you!

Each turn, you will choose to cooperate or compete with another player. Cooperation results in the biggest payout overall, if you both agree. Choosing to compete while they cooperate, however, will gain you more while they gain nothing. Hopefully they don't hold a grudge.

Invest in Buildings to expand your influence, or play Tactics to get revenge on your enemies, but be careful who you burn. You might need them later if you hope to get ahead.

Merchant's Dilemma only takes about 10 minutes to setup and learn. The game lasts about 10 minutes per player (30-60 minutes).

Any chance I can Set up a demo for Team Yankee? I got a few people interested and they would like to have a few games. I would need just a table and a top for the table I can bring my own terrain

Hey, Kyle. What size table do you need for your tabletop. Also, what time would the game start and finish? Lastly, is this a series of demoes or a full play-through?

I would need a 6x4. as for start time I was wondering about starting at opening and just running it through out the day. also theres a few people that might show up to play a full game but mostly just demos so we only just need one table

I'll earmark one of the 6x4 tabletops from ComicReaders for Team Yankee. I'll reserve you the table to go with it.

I was in charge of the rules and managed to play the game incorrectly three times in a row! So I'm looking to start my Prairie Game eXpo day with at least two games of The Grizzled, played correctly. Who's in?

PGX would like  to welcome Regina game designer Stephen "Stardust" Kenny to the event. Come and check this fun game out. The designer has asked all play testers to answer a few short questions.

Also, if you have any thoughts or feedback about these events, send an email to PGX@SaskGames.com
