Warhammer and Warhammer 40K is a table-top miniatures game produced by Games Workshop. Warhammer is the fantasy based game. 40K is the science fiction based game. In either, players select an army, assemble and paint their miniatures, and then go toe-to-toe in against another player. Game styles and length varies, but regardless of the armies and style of play, Warhammer and Warhammer 40K is a very attractive game when on the table.

Me to please. I was too slow last few times so I'm getting out ahead of it. Hopefully someone will run it.
I ran the D&D event at the last Prairie Game Expo and am willing to do so again for this one (unless my schedule unexpectedly conflicts with May 23rd) - assuming that people still want to have an old gaming fossil like myself GMing for them.
I'd be very interested in being part of a D&D group at the Prairie Expo. Kmur101 would be as well I imagine since it was him that started the post. Let us know the specifics & unless anything unforeseen happens I'll be there. You'll need to confirm with Kmur101 but I believe, from his post, that he would be there to. I look forward to the event.
Ya I will definitely be in for a game of D and D at the expo let me know what time works and I'll make sure I'm available!!
I would play some dnd

I haven't played DnD for 22 years. I'd be totally into playing again. So make that 2 fossils for Dungeons and Dragons. Um, do they still use real dice or do i need some smart phone dice app? :P
I am going to run a mega map for Railways of the World. Combined Eastern and Western USA maps.

4-5 hours
4PM start time.
Alphadork, let us know when you'd like to run D&D. We need start time, # players, duration, and any specific requirements. The more details the better.
Depending on potential scheduling conflicts, at some point that day I'd like to host a fun Star Wars X-Wing Miniatures TEAM EPIC game. Solely for the purpose so players can field those ships that have only seen shelf time and never been played yet. Huge maps, asteroid models, capitol ships, mega fighter squads and a big mess of fun - if that's allowed?

Awesome, Tyler! Glad you are joining!
For D&D I can handle 6 or so players, last eXpo we ran the session for 4 hours and I think we had enough time (if any of the players have feedback on how long they'd like D&D to run let me know)
The only scheduling conflict would be that I'd like to play in either a Malifaux or Warmachine session (if either get scheduled)
Chad, will email you to see if you want this session to be a part of WotC's organized play program.
Best

I'm in for both Survive: Atlantis and Camel Up. Thanks!
Id like to sign up for the 40k tournament. I will spread the word to get more people signed up. I am also free to help with setup if needed. I can also bring terrain.
I would like to sign up for the 40k event as orks, please.
Sign me up for 40k as well.
I would like to get in on the Survive tournament. I have never played before, so that should at least give the other players a sporting chance ;) I am sure I can find a copy of the rules to learn beforehand.
I'll bring out Caverna for noon. Can play up to 7, but that might make it drag on a bit. I'd be okay with it if everyone knowing it has played before enough to help make slightly quicker decisions and stuff. Otherwise, if I'm teaching I'll cap it at 5 players.
...hope that's not too confusing.
In any case, Caverna's a really fun game based off of Agricola, but a little bit less restrictive. It's still challenging, but from the people I've taught it to so far, everyone's said they've enjoyed it much more than Agricola.
Can you Sign me up for 40k tournament, please
So with it just around the corner - is there any word on whether there is either DnD, Star Wars Rebellion or both at this upcoming PGX? (based upon what was hosted at the last PGX in January) Thank you.
PS If so please consider this my request to sign up for both :D lol
Hi Jem,
I'd planned on running some sort of RP event - whether it's D&D, Star Wars (my preference is Edge of the Empire) or something completely different . . . . Champions anyone?!?
What do people want to play?
This old gaming fossil (my age could be counted in two digits when Star Wars was first released) is happy to dust of any number of RPG's and meet new players at PrairieCon. (I ran D&D last time)

Everything is updated to this point. Fan Expo is done and Free Comic Day will be over this Saturday so it'll all be PGX until May 23rd!
Tempest: I put Caverna down for 150 minutes. Let me know if that needs to be adjusted.
AlphaDork: Time to commit to a system. I think the majority want D&D. Could you let us know a time, # of players and duration? Thanks!

I have posted in the rules thread about WYSIWYG: http://sask.games/index.php?topic=4601.0
- Models must represent the intended units. Proxying will NOT be permitted.
- Each model MUST represent its wargear. (A model with a machine gun cannot be used to represent a model with a missile launcher).
- Custom "counts-as" models WILL be allowed IF they are on the correct size base AND are similar in size to the model it is intended to represent. This is to prevent potential issues with line of sight, cover, assault range, number of models hit by template weapons, etc.
Examples:
You CANNOT use an unmodified imperial guard guardsman to represent anything other than a guardsman.
You CAN use a modified imperial guardsman to represent something similar (like a chaos cultist). This could be done with custom model parts or possibly just a cool paint job.
Using a regular terminator on a 40mm base with a different cool looking wargear to represent a special character with that wargear WOULD be allowed.
Using a cool looking regular sized space marine on a 25mm base to represent a terminator character would NOT be allowed (as it should be on a 40mm base).
You CAN use a cool looking orc you bought on kickstarter as your warboss IF it is similar in size to the model it is intended to represent AND you put it on a base of the correct size.
If there are any questions or concerns regarding this policy, please contact the tournament organizer before the tournament date.
Again, could you please sign me up for Master Thieves and Caverna? It looks like Railways of the World is full now since I asked the first time.
Sorry, Jon. My fault. I thought I had it handled.
No problem Dana. In the end, as long as I am playing games I will be happy!
I'm in for the last spot of Caverna - haven't played yet, but should be an easy study.
Was wondering if I could still get in on the Survive from Atlantis tourney at 11am?

It's definitely one of those games that's "easy to learn, hard to master". It's a lot easier to learn if you've played Agricola. If not, no worries.
