Lorcana Schedule For April 2024

DESCRIPTION
ComicReaders Downtown will be hosting two Lorcana events plus one special event.

For the month of April, there will be a casual format and a tournament format. Both events will be constructed play (bring your deck). Casual format will be sit down and play with 1 or many other opponents. Tournament format: 3 rounds of Swiss play. You must keep your deck the same throughout all 3 rounds. Winning records will win packs in addition to the 3-0 records receiving choice of promo.

Each event is limited to 16 people.

Pre-registration is required to ensure your spot. This event is promoted on the Disney Lorcana Regina Page. All participants are encouraged to register in advance by signing up on melee.gg (links will be provided below). Please do not respond to this post to register for the event. Please do not assume you can walk into the store the day of the event to register. If you find that you cannot attend the event, you can unenroll on the melee.gg site, or contact ComicReaders Downtown to let them know you can no longer attend.

A list of registered players will not be included on SaskGames, but we will do our best to update the post when events are full.

For casual format days: participants' names will go into a draw for a chance to receive a pin or lore counter. The rest of the participants will receive the promo card that is listed with the event. Please note, a participant can only receive 1 item per event.

For tournament format days: participants with 3-0 records will receive their choice of promo item, along with 4 packs of the newest set. Participants with 2-1 records will receive 2 packs of the newest set. The rest of promo items will be given out via draw.

April 7th the promo card will be John Silver

April 27th the promo card will be Kit Cloudkicker

All April participants will receive a Jolly Roger Promo.

Any leftover promo cards, pins and lore counters will go towards a future event.

Format: Into the Inklands Championship Tournament

Player Cap: 16 players
Entry Fee: $10

Structure:

• 1v1 best of 3
• 4 round swiss with a cur to Top 4 (this will change if the player cap is increased)
• 50 minute rounds, Top 4 matches are untimed
• Players are to keep the same deck throughout the tournament
• Players are encouraged to keep track of their own and opponent's lore total so there are no discrepancies
• No note taking other than lore totals
• Decklists required (Top 4 lists will be posted on the Facebook page)
• Lists can be submitted through Facebook or in person

Prizes:
Prizes of Inklands packs will be awarded to the winning records before the cut to Top 4:
4-0: 6 packs
3-0: 4 packs
All participants will receive a Jolly Roger promo. No additional promos will be given out.

After the cut to Top 4:

• Winner will receive the Champion playmat
• Runner-up will receive the same playmat without the Champion stamp
• All Top 4 players will receive the Rockstar Stitch Promo card

PANDEMIC PROTOCOLS
Non-medical masks will be voluntary for events at ComicReaders Downtown. We encourage people to make informed decisions and protect themselves and fellow players as regularly as possible. We won't be requiring people to leave behind contact info in case someone gets sick. We're going to leave those decisions to the players. We will revisit this policy should the change negatively impact event attendance or negatively impact the health of players participating in events. Related, you can now have drinks and snacks at events.

Please note, that the Championship is currently full at 16 players. It filled up as of yesterday April 21st, due to logistics of scheduling, we will be unable to increasing the player cap for this Championship to account for extra time for more rounds of play.
