Sunday Limited Magic *Magic: The Gathering*

DESCRIPTION
Sunday is Limited day at ComicReaders Downtown.  We alternate back and forth from week to week playing Draft and Sealed Deck, usually with the most recent set.  Limited is a great way to learn to play competitive Magic without needing to have a large collection, and a great way to acquire new cards.

Players with a winning record receive packs of the latest Magic release as prizes. The number of packs you receive depends on the number of players and your record.

On September 28, we will draft Khans of Tarkir for the first time.

There is no Limited event on September 21 because we are hosting the Magic: The Gathering Khans of Tarkir Pre-release.

Wizards of the Coast recently announced they will no longer be releasing new material for Kaijudo. (Vortex is the last set release.) ComicReaders Downtown is able to run official Kaijudo tournaments until the end of October. After that, we will continue to run casual tournaments for as long as players wish.

DESCRIPTION

This is a sealed 300 point event. You will purchase one War of Light (Wave II) booster and one alternate five figure booster (or five singles).

The Grand Prize is Saint Walker LE

The Participation Prize is John Stewart LE, Catapult construct.

Participation prize availability is limited. Priority will go to players who will only be attending this Month 3 event.  The remainder will be awarded by tournament placement.

Maps will also be in limited supply. There is no guarantee that you will play on the War of Light Month 3 map so feel free to bring your own or use the additional maps that we provide.

[Heroclix - War of Light Month 3 (Event II)]

DESCRIPTION

ComicReaders Downtown goes experimental with this second event of War of Light Month III.

This will be a booster draft with one War of Light booster and one Guardians of the Galaxy booster.

Your team will be all the figures pulled. Before starting each game, you will compare your point total with your opponent's. The player with the highest total will remove the one single figure that is closest to the difference.

The fellowship prize will be available for trade. You can trade the super rare from the Guardians of Galaxy booster purchased for the event. If more than one person does this one will be chosen randomly at the end of the event. If nobody does then the prize will be handed out randomly.

Participation prize availability is limited. Priority will go to players who will only be attending this Month 3 event.  The remainder will be awarded by tournament placement.
