[Heroclix - War of Light Month Finale]

Heroclix - War of Light Month Finale

DESCRIPTION

This is a 500 point constructed event. You MUST have a lantern + ring + at least 4 constructs all of the same colour. The remaining points will be used to make a MARVEL named theme team with at least 4 figs.

1. NO, team bases are not allowed.
2. Yes, highlander rule is in effect.
3. NO, entities are figs even if they possess so they are not allowed.
4. Yes, this is silver age.
5. Yes, there may be a booster buy in.
6. NO, there is no SR trade in for the fellowship this month.
7. Yes, there will be additional prizes from previous months SR trade ins for players based on OVERALL points.

Participation prize availability is limited. Priority will go to players who will only be attending this Month 6 event. The remainder will be awarded by tournament placement. If this is the ONLY Month 6 event you will be attending please let the tournament organizer know when you arrive.

Maps will also be in limited supply. There is no guarantee that you will play on the War of Light Month 6 map so feel free to bring your own or use the additional maps that we provide.

DESCRIPTION

The buy-in for this event is 1 booster of War of Light Wave 2.

This is a 400 point, sealed event. Players will purchase two boosters of War of Light Wave 2.

- Grand Prize: Star Sapphire LE

- Grandest Prize: Colossal Nekron and Black Lantern Battery will be awarded to the player who has earned the most event points throughout the six months. A tie will be resolved through either a play-off or a back alley knife brawl. If more than two players are tied, the two in the playoff will be the two who ranked highest in the Month 6 event.

- Participation prizes: Simon Baz LE, Boxing Glove construct.

Sunday is Limited day at ComicReaders Downtown.  We alternate back and forth from week to week playing Draft and Sealed Deck, usually with the most recent set.  Limited is a great way to learn to play competitive Magic without needing to have a large collection, and a great way to acquire new cards.

X-Wing: 75 Point Tournament

DESCRIPTION
Star Wars: X-Wing Miniatures Game is a tactical ship-to-ship combat game in which players take control of powerful Rebel X-wings and nimble Imperial TIE fighters, facing them against each other in fast-paced space combat. Featuring stunningly detailed and painted miniatures, the X-Wing Miniatures Game recreates exciting Star Wars space combat throughout its several included scenarios. Select your crew, plan your maneuvers, and complete your mission!

After a summer hiatus, X-Wing organized play returns to ComicReaders Downtown with a 75 point tournament on Saturday, October 25, 2014.

Squad
- The total point value of your squad (ship, pilot, upgrades, etc) cannot exceed 75 points.
- You must chose a faction. Rebel or Imperials. You cannot mix factions to build your squad.
- A squad list must be submitted when you arrive for the event. That means, no squad building when you arrive. Have your squad built in advance. The tournament organizer will review your squad.
- Bring the required components from the X-Wing core set-- maneuver dials, range rulers, asteroids, damage cards, etc. 

Game Play
- This is a Round Robin style tournament.
- There is 75 minute time limit per game. 15 minutes for set-up / deployment. 60 minutes for the game.
- The number of matches played is determined by the number of players. If we have 10 players, for example, there will be 3 rounds of games and then the final match between the top 2 players.
- A rule book will be on hand for reference, but two event organizers will be on hand for rule clarifications. If need be, the final say on rules will be provided by ComicReaders' Chad Boudreau, who plays X-Wing but is not participating in the event.

Modified Match Win = 3 tournament points

DESCRIPTION

The buy-in for this event is 1 booster of War of Light Wave 2.

This is a constructed 500 point event. Your force must be a Named Theme Team with the theme being one of the nine Lantern Corps. Violet Lantern Corps and Star Sapphires are considered the same keyword. Tactics are allowed from the War of Light set only. If using a power battery, the battery and all attached elements must match the Corps of your theme.

The Grand Prize is Indigo-1 LE.

The participation prizes are Kyle Rayner LE, Nurse construct.
