Pathfinder RPG

The Saskatchewan Pathfinder Society is running two scenarios. Both start at 12pm.

DESCRIPTION

8-01 Portents Peril
A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1–5.

Even in an age where prophecy rarely comes true, many in Varisia hold the mysterious Harrow cards and their predictions in high esteem. The Pathfinder Society’s ally Zeeva Foxglove recently received a Harrow reading as repayment for her generosity, but a rare card appeared and portended imminent doom. Now that these terrible predictions are coming true, Zeeva realizes she cannot weather this storm alone. It’s up to the PCs to save this friend and philanthropist—perhaps by changing fate entirely.

Pathfinder Society Scenario #8-18—Champion's Chalice, Part 1: Blazing Dangerous Trails

A Pathfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1-5.

Every year, the Sargavan government hosts the Sargava Chalice, a contest of speed and survival that draws eager competitors from far and wide, each hoping to win fame, fortune, and glory. This year, Pathfinder Society has taken a special interest in the competition, sponsoring a team of agents to compete to with the trophy. Can PCs overcome their competition and the dangers of the Sargavan wilderness to emerge victorious?

Blazing Dangerous Trails is the first scenario in the two-part "Champion's Chalice" campaign arc. It is followed by Pathfinder Society Scenario #8-21: Agents of the Eye. Both chapters are intended to be played in order.

Archive of Play with Your Food / Re: PWYF 2018 Game Schedule
« on: October 11, 2018, 02:04:00 PM »
I had a few people ask so I thought I should post about this....

I won't be running THE THING at this year's 24 Hour to Play Your Food.

I have enjoyed running THE THING and I am deeply touched by people's enthusiasm for the game, but I am going to give it a rest this year. Last year's THE THING was my favourite yet and I'm happy to say I made no changes to the rules after that play. But I've not had time to prepare for this year's event and I'd hate to bring it out in a slapped together fashion.

Yeah I was looking at the Expo, but it was all Path/Star-finder.

There were several sessions of D&D, too, and Fiasco, The Quiet Year and Microscope.

There are venues in Regina where you can meet other gamers: WokBox, Boston Pizza (Chewsday Challenge), Boards N Beans, ComicReaders, Board Game Bistro, etc. You might meet some RPGers at those places.

Please remove myself and Ragdollgun from Captain Sonar. I don't know how late Ragdollgun is staying so I shouldn't commit to something that he might not be there for.

I am almost positive Cam and me would 100% down and should easily be able to get Dustin in on something.

As mentioned, there won't be a wrap-up event at Prairie Game Expo but I bet Michael P would appreciate some fellow players attending his Age of Sigmar demos from 11:00am to 4:00pm. He has a few sign-ups already. Not sure if he needs a hand, but another table of Age of Sigmar in action might attract some more eyeballs.

12
Here are the final standings for ComicReaders' first Age of Sigmar Ladder Campaign:

Points
1. Justin S 31.5 pts
2. Cameron C 29 pts
3. Dustin G 21.5 pts
4. Xander K 12 pts
5. Mike N 10 pts
6. Jonathan B 4 pts
7. Michael P 4 pts
8. Colin L 3
9. Cory P 1 pts

Ladder
1. Justin S - Pestilens
2. Michael P (Tzeentch)
3. Mike N (Stormcast Eternals)
4. Xander K (Ironjawz)
5. Dustin G - Stormcast Eternals
6. Cameron C (Legions of Nagash)
7. Cory P - Nighthaunt
8. Jonathan B (Flesh- Eater Courts)
9. Colin L - Beastclaw Raiders

The winner of the $25 gift certificate random draw is once again Cameron C.
And I've decided to reward Justin S $25 for being at the top of the ladder and the top of the points standings.
Your gift certificates can be picked up at ComicReaders Downtown at your convenience.

There WILL NOT be a wrap up event at Prairie Game Expo this weekend. With only nine players on the roster I'm going to try to make arrangements for a wrap-up in the near future at the downtown store or the downtown Royal Canadian Legion. All nine players (and me to make 10) will get invited and we'll see if we can make a day of it.

13
I've signed up for Nyctophobia and Bloodborne: The Card Game.

Starfinder RPG

DESCRIPTION

A New Era of Exploration

The Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild is a worldwide science fantasy campaign that puts you in the role of an agent of the Starfinder Society. The gods have mysteriously spirited Golarion away to an unknown location and refuse to answer questions about it. In its place, the cultures of that world have evolved and spread throughout the solar system, especially to a vast space platform called Absalom Station. Gifted access to a hyperspace dimension by an ascended AI deity, the residents of the system suddenly find themselves with the ability to travel faster than light, and the race is on to explore and colonize potentially millions of worlds. But there are horrors out there in the darkness…

Play in the Starfinder Society Roleplaying Guild is organized into Seasons, throughout which the actions and acheivements of you and your fellow Society agents create an ongoing storyline. Each season takes place across scenarios set in a variety of exotic locales across the world of Starfinder.

Year of Scoured Stars

The Starfinder Society is on the brink of ruin, having had to resort of mercenaries to maintain their hold on claimed planetoids, stellar regions, and archeological sites. After training to join a new cadre of Starfinders, it is up to you as a member of the Starfinder Society to help restore the organization. The Starfinder Society, with memories of the Scoured Stars incident still fresh, embarks on the quest to rebuild and discover the truth of what happened in the inaugural season: Year of Scoured Stars!

1-18: The Blackmoon Survey

A Starfinder Society Scenario designed for levels 1-4.

Eox's Blackmoon region contains countless forgotten Eoxian ruins, leftovers from an apocalyptic assault on the planet. Few are allowed to dig up these sites, yet the Starfinder Society and undead bone sages maintain a joint academic venture known as the Blackmoon Excavation. When Starfinder archaeologists and undead workers begin disappearing from the site the Society sends in a team of agents to uncover why—a secret that resides in the nearby ruins!
