Marvel Legendary Tournament

WHEN: Saturday January 28, 2017
WHERE: Prairie Game eXpo
START TIME: 11:00 AM
DURATION: 150 - 180 minutes
MAXIMUM PLAYERS: 16

There are 3 rounds to the tournament. They consist of:
- 1 Preliminary Games (4 table of 4 people)
- 1 Semi-Final Game (2 tables of 4 people)
- 1 Championship Game (1 table of 4 people)

Tournament Format

The Marvel Legendary Tournament is played in a Semi-Cooperative fashion. Each player will be scored based on the total number of points they've accumulated at the end of 45 minutes of play or the fourth/final defeat of the Mastermind Villain for their (1) defeated villains and (2) rescued bystanders. Tie breakers will be first determined based on the number of bystanders rescued, then the number of non-henchmen villains. Regardless of whether the Mastermind Villain in defeated in the end, the players be judged solely on being the best Hero!

Each round of the Tournament will involve a different, predetermined Mastermind, Scheme, and Set of Heroes with an emphasis on a unique comic book pairing.

The Preliminary Round will consist of 4 tables with 4 players. The 2 players with the most points from each table will move on to the semi-final match.

Semi-Final will consist of 2 tables with 4 players. The 2 highest scoring players of each game will move to the Championship Round, for a final game of 4 players.

The winner of the Championship match will get the grand prize: A limited edition PGX "Tournament Winner" mug!

Time limit: No game will go longer than 45 minutes. After one table has completed their game the other games must be concluded within 15 minutes (but we will allow at least 45 minutes to complete your game).

If we do not make our 16 player roster we will make amendments on the fly. If there is more interest, we will need additional copies of Marvel Legendary.
