Yeah, I'm all aboard. I think I'm only about rank 5 or 6 right now. If you wanna look me up on PSN I'm ShakasaurusWreck. I have a picture of Zangief from street fighter. I may be hard to find?

I'll be in attendance. I'd like to get in a game of Agricola with the farmers of the moor expansion. I'll probably bring a few others as well.

I played one of the 3DS Monster Hunter games. Missed out on the PS4 Beta, but I'll probably be getting this.

I think this might count? Or maybe it falls more under the "farming" category as opposed to agriculture, which makes me think plants...

In any case, if you can get your hands on a copy, it's a pretty straightforward Rosenberg game (as compared to the actual Agricola which can be a nightmare for new players) that is meant for just two players, and typically only takes about half an hour. All my other favourite agriculture-related games take at least 90 minutes and are a bit more complex.

I'll get in on The Thing and Scythe for now. I'll be bringing a few games with me, but not sure what just quite yet. It'll either be a variety including:

Macao, Clank!, X-Com, Agricola, Top Race and possibly others. (My BGG link is mostly up-to-date)

OR one of my games that requires several boxes, such as:

Rum & Bones
Talisman
Marvel Legendary
Arcadia Quest

Finally, I'll be bring Caverna: Cave versus Cave (the two player game) and several other filler/short games as well.

As always, I take requests, so if anyone sees anything interesting, I love to teach and will gladly schedule something if there's interest.

I'd like to try Clank!

I'm free pretty much any time after Scythe ends :)

GAME: X-Wing: Star Wars Miniatures - Wave 1 to 3 101 Pt. Tournament
ORGANIZER: Derek Chow
START TIME: 10:00am
DURATION: 6 hours
PLAYERS: 10 player maximum
DETAILS: X-Wing will once again be featured at Prairie Game Expo.  This tournament will follow standard FFG X-Wing tourney rules with some special exceptions.  The player roster limit will be capped at 10 participants.  There will be 4 rounds of swiss played at 75 min. each in length.  We will stop and take a break after the second game for lunch.  To avoid anyone having to sit out in bye rounds, I will only play in the tournament if we have an odd number of entrants, otherwise I will be organizing and running a learn to play station as well.   A prize support kit for the tourney is being generously donated by ComicReaders downtown.  The exceptions to the standard tourney rules are as follows:

Wave 1 to 3 ships only

It is my intention to feature classic Star Wars ships from the original trilogy at this PGX.  Thus only ships from Waves 1 to 3 will be allowed to be fielded.  This means no scum, and a limited roster of Rebel and Imperial ships.  However, ship upgrade cards from any wave will still be legal.  A list of available ships to use are as follows:

Rebel:
T-65 X-Wing
Y-Wing
YT-1300 Freighter (Rebel pilots only, NO Resistance)
A-Wing
B-Wing
HWK-290

Imperial:
TIE Fighter
TIE Advanced
Slave 1 (Imperial pilots only, NO Scum)
TIE Interceptor
TIE Bomber
Lambda-Class Shuttle

101 Point Squads
Ever feel like you designed the perfect squad, only to find out it was 1 point over 100?  Well you won't have to worry about that here.  The squad point limit will be capped at 101 points instead of the standard 100 at this tournament.

To register for a spot in the tournament please post a reply in this PGX forum or on the Star Wars X-Wing Regina Facebook page (but not both!).  Pre-registration is not necessary to participate, but there is a limit of 10 players.

Dumb question, but this includes pilots too, right? I feel like there's certain pilots (Like imperial aces, for example) that came out after those waves. Those are okay to use, yes?

Alright, there doesn't seem to be enough interest in neither Rum & Bones nor Talisman (thanks for trying, Bryce) so I'm going to go ahead and cancel them. Sure, I could wait and see if people join up day of, but that's a lot of stuff to haul out on a maybe. I'm a fan of certainty. Sorry if this is a recurring theme of mine. In the meantime, since there still appears to be space left in X-Wing, I'll sign up for that instead.

I won't be there in time to host Agricola, so I'll have to cancel. I'll still be there for Carc.

Confirmed for carc. I'll be there. Also, I'll try coming out early for another game too. I've developed an idea for Agricola that I'd love to try with people. Essentially, for those familiar with the game, what I've done is create starting decks of occupation and improvement cards that share a common theme. I'm still working on balancing them out, but my initial test with people went pretty well. Each one plays differently and if used somewhat correctly (I've done everything I can to make it intuitive) can be pretty self-sufficient.

I'd love to show it to people familiar with Agricola optimally, but can potentially teach new players who might be interested. The goal of putting these combos together *IS* to help newer players who aren't familiar with the game have a bit of an easier time with it. I know from experience that Agricola is a daunting game especially to new players; I personally *HATED* it when I first tried it. (I partially blame the teacher, but that's old news.) So in that regard, if you've tried Agricola before and either had a hard time or didn't like it, I say give this a shot. It's not VASTLY different, but I think it's different enough. Also, in the Tempest teaching fashion, I am more than happy to help guide players as the game goes on as well. I have tons of experience playing, so I can usually suggest optimal moves and such if necessary. It's one of my favourite games, and I'd love it if I could share the joy!

Since I will be in Carc, I'd also like to start at 6:00 PM if possible, especially if I do end up teaching the game.

GAME: Agricola
TEACHER: Tempest
START TIME: 6:00
DURATION: ~120 minutes
# OF PLAYERS: Four or Five. (the pre-built combos are meant to be played with four or five players only)
