Yep, I’ve got both with me so we’ll have lots of options.

2
I think I got missed for Photosynthesis, but no worries - I will bring out another game instead:

Oh yes you did - I'm sorry!

Jim and I would try Majesty out after Istanbul Dice if the timing works out.

No worries at all! I can bring Majesty out at 7:30 instead if that would work better.

Ok, I'll update it to 7:30, that would be great.  We could probably play a later game of Photosynthesis too depending on your time schedule, I've played it once before and could likely  do a quick review and play it.

I believe Chad (Comic Readers) and Brad (SaskGames) are part of that discussion!

5
You're killing me Lori.

I can change the time if you want to play, or was that more a comment on Captain Obvious?

6
I've added Istanbul: The Dice Game.  You guessed it, Istanbul but with dice.

We'll also have 4 or 5 other things with us, likely Batavia, Pandemic: Rising Tide, Azul and Council of Verona.

Game Discussion / Re: 2017 Gaming Challenges
« on: January 12, 2018, 04:50:29 PM »
I could have sworn I did the 2017 wrap-up post but it doesn't look like it's here so here it is now:

2017 was a very good year for gaming.  I had more plays of more games and more new games than ever before including some very good gaming experiences like Pandemic Legacy Season 1, fun times at PGX and PWYF, games played on the road on our solar eclipse trip, an interesting "2017 Advent Gaming Challenge" on BGG and a relaxing gaming weekend in Cypress Hills.

By the end of the year I had a...
49% winning ratio after
656 games played, of which there were
237 unique titles including
145 that I learned for the 1st time. It took
624 hours to play these games with
103 unique individuals at
15 different locations.

Other tidbits:
- I played at the 2-player count 37% of the time while 4-player is at 22%.
- Saturday, Tuesday and Sunday are my busiest gaming days at 27%, 23% and 15% respectively. (Monday is at the bottom of the pile with 6% of my gaming time).

Challenges:
- My alphabet challenge was completed. (I could have easily done it twice if X had co-operated)
- My 25 X 5 was completed
- My 500 plays this year ended at 656
- My 150 "new to me" count came up 5 games short so this goal will likely be on the list again in 2018
- My "un-played games from 2016" goal was never completed and will be re-purposed for 2018!
- I added an Advent Gaming Challenge on Dec 1st (see my 2nd post of this thread or BGG for details) which I completed on Dec 24/17.

I hope all 32 of you made it home safely without any fender-benders! Pretty impressive turnout in spite of the curling rink conditions.

Hopefully the roads will be a lot better by Saturday to see you all at PGX!

Thanks, Jason and everyone who else who has volunteered to cover the registration table or run a Learn to Play session. All our shifts are now covered and we couldn’t do it without Comic Readers, our great community and our awesome volunteers!

13
I want to learn how to play 7 wonders, but if I can do that from 12:00 - 1:00 I can volunteer at the registration table from 1:00 - 2:00.

Looks like you're good for the Learn to Play on 7 Wonders since Adam and Elaine are taking back to back turns at the registration table. Thanks for offering!

15
Gary Hollingshead said he'd do a LTP for Tsuro - I think for the 3:00 timeslot but I'm not 100% sure.

16
Murray will do 5 Minute Dungeon LTP from 12-2

17
What about Jennifer?  What does she need to get a name tag.

Do you know her username on SaskGames?  I don't have anything listed for her.

19
Thank you Lori and Nicole for adding a nickname to my profile so quickly.

Glad to see you're all fixed up!

Also, now that you have a forum name I'll have nametags for you and Brad next week!

How is 18AL for newbie players, Mark?  Jim’s been wanting to play one...

That’s quite the write-up!

Anyone missing Xenoshift Onslaught and Zombicide Wulfsberg game parts from this night?  Check the Lost & Found notice here.

I'd take Forbidden Island for the Centennial school boardgame club.

I see you're coming out Tuesday so I can settle up with you then if that works for you?

25
Lots of games on the list for tonight.  I'll have something with me for 6:30 depending on how much time I have at lunch to review the rules (Ex Libris).
