Flames of War Demo – Team Yankee/The Cold War Gone Hot/World War 3!
August 2nd, 2017
By Lance Mathew

The day started off with a lot of promise; I had a WWIII demo in the evening with a couple of borrowed armies - Brody’s DDR (East Germans) and Kyle’s Merikan Abrams (USA) to show off and play with. However, mid-morning I received more than a few messages alerting me to the fact that Tramp’s was in financial trouble and that the owner had put out a call for monetary assistance. With all of the LGS (Local Game Store) social media in an uproar I knew I had better arrive early and set up a table. But, when I got there all was eerily quiet. While I waited and took a bunch of pictures the foot traffic was pretty slight – only one couple came in while I was there from 6pm till 7:30; not good for my demo let alone for the store.

Meanwhile, I have talked with Redline Hobby about doing a demo or even a games day at their store. Also, there are events in and around town that we would be happy to do demos at - if you, the reader, would like a demo game or to challenge when a time is good for you, and especially if you know of a place that might like to have a demo done –> please e-mail cigamnogard@sasktel.net. Also, we have a large Facebook group: FoW Regina Rifles please check us out there!

Post script – our next event is a massive six week long WW3 campaign of multiple battles – entitled ‘Red Thunder’ ; please follow along at Beasts of War or via viewing the following link:

And, hopefully we will still be battling it out at Tramp’s Comics and Games – please come on down and see all the action there!
